Testament

Waste no stone on me,

rather,

lay me ‘side my lover,

at that willow’s foot, whose shroud

kept our best secrets.

Tangled in the sweet grass,

our bodies will wither

with the waning summer.

Entwined through longing

autumn eves, we rest

bone to bone.
